About Il-Malti

It’s a fact, Maltese food is amazing! There’s something about the rich, earthy flavours that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and it’s always difficult not to finish your plate although Maltese are very well known for the very abundant portions they eat!

On one of the busiest streets in Sliema, hidden between pubs and bars you can find a very small restaurant which serves only typical local food, hence the name il-Malti (The Maltese)

‘Il-Malti’ restaurant, is designed with a charming Maltese vintage interior, including original old tiles and nostalgic photographs. Serving only the highest quality traditional local Maltese cuisine such as ‘Aljotta’(fish soup), ‘Bragjoli’ (beef olives) and ‘Stuffat tal qarnit’ (octopus stew) using only the freshest quality products found on the market. Apart from the options on the menu, for dinner the restaurant prepares a few daily specials and depending on what’s in season they also serve fresh fish and seafood cooked in a typical Maltese way.

Il-Malti, Sleima is open daily for lunch and dinner between 12:00 and 22:30. Reservations are highly recommended.
